A clear path to ownership

How lease-to-own works

Move in, pay rent, then own your home. Explore each stage of the Ijarah journey.

Step 1 of 3

Your home to live in.

Under the Ijarah structure, you live in the home while FMBN retains ownership. Any initial contribution you make is your share from the start.

While you lease

Your signed agreements define the payments, responsibilities and ownership-transfer process.

Common questions

What does non-interest lease-to-own mean?

It is an Ijarah lease that ends in ownership of the home. Rental obligations, responsibilities and the ownership-transfer process are set out in the approved agreements.

Do I need to be an NHF contributor?

The currently available NHF Ijarah product requires active NHF contributions for at least six months and first-time NHF facility use. Start the eligibility check for guidance.

What if I am not an NHF contributor?

You can register interest in Non-Interest Mortgage Products without an NHF number. Interest registration is separate from eligibility and applications.

Does verifying my NHF number mean I am approved?

No. NHF verification confirms contributor information and lets you create your account. Final approval follows application, affordability, property and supporting-evidence reviews.

Where can I see available properties?

Available properties for your selected product are shown after you sign in to your FMBN account.
